hear what I have to say
The safety of our children is number one on my list. I will do everything in my power to add additional sentencing to any child predator. I am personally working on a comprehensive geofencing monitoring system to track and log the activities of any registered offender. The system will monitor their activity and provide safety zone warnings and alerts.
Our future is in teaching our children. Educating the hearts and minds of our youth is a key component for change. I will ensure that no child lacks the resources necessary to continue schooling whether they choose to attend a school building or attend virtually. Our teachers are the heart beat of our community, and making sure they and the children are equipped with the necessary resources is paramount.
As a business owner and entrepreneur who faced the economic downturn in 2008, I'm aware many business owners will face unprecedented situations keeping their doors open. I have compassion for those who have used personal resources to stay afloat. I know what it feels like not running the heat in my restaurant to keep my electric bill down, as well as taking out personal lines of credit to cover payroll expenses. I will be doing everything within my power to help provide the resources and assistance for business owners in district 10, as well as state wide.
I stand united behind all our trade unions. As a former member of the Local 1058 Laborer's Union I believe part of the solution for the college loan debt crisis and bolstering our local economy is encouraging our youth to pursue apprenticeships while joining our local trade unions.
I will increase littering fines substantially and add additional consequences effecting drivers license privileges for anyone caught littering from their vehicle.
Creating a data base to compile and log information accumulated by neighborhood watch organizations will provide vital intel for law enforcement. Local observe and report committees can streamline their data and provide a free resource for police to ensure safety for all. This will begin on the local level and will blossom into a statewide database uniting us potentially nationwide.
